Decrypt WHATSAPP backup files

Hello everyone,

This week we are going to see, how to decrypt the backup files generated automatically by whatsapp @ 2am everyday…

Step 1: Generate the BACKUP artificially as shown or have the backup file in your hand

Step 2: Download & Install, GBWhatsapp… Download here (from my personal storage)

Step 3: Open the GBWhatsapp (It will also have the same whatsapp icon) and just proceed to the phone number phase by clicking AGREE & CONTINUE as shown below (Do not proceed further)

Step 4: Now, go to your FILE MANAGER & find WHATSAPP folder… copy the “database” folder which contains your backup file (crypt12 file) and delete all the other backup files present & paste in GBWHATSAPP folder as shown ( NOTE: If you just only have the crypt12 file, do not worry just create “database” folder in GBWhatsapp and paste it there)

Step 5: Now go to GBWhatsapp app and verify your phone number as shown, immediately you will be prompted with RESTORE option, click “RESTORE” as shown

Step 6: Ta-da You’ve successfully DECRYPTED your Whatsapp backup file without using COMPUTER
